Date: Wednesday 3rd December, 16.00 – 18.00
Venue: Committee Room 1, Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Town Hall.
Who should attend: Health and Wellbeing Board members, policy and scrutiny committee members, Healthwatch representatives. This invitation is extended across Tri-borough.
This event aims to challenge your perceptions about the wider determinants of health that are important for your communities and to think through how your Health and Wellbeing Boards can use their influence to address issues. They will be balancing presentations from internal and external expert speakers with an exploration of what you already know about health inequalities and the wider determinants of health within your respective boroughs. There will be time to discuss the local challenges with other participants and to identify local actions.
This is the first of a series of 3 briefings that will be held over the next couple of months to support members of Health and Wellbeing Boards and their stakeholders to develop their knowledge and skills about key issues. The briefings will be facilitated by Brenda Cook and Rachel Harris. Both Brenda and Rachel are longstanding associates with the Centre for Public Scrutiny and have a significant track record of working with local authorities across the country and as independent advisors.
