An educational application (App) has been developed that tells you all about pressure ulcers. It helps you work out if you, or someone you care for, might develop a pressure ulcer.
This project has been funded by Health Education England NW London as part of their Community Education Provider Network programme. http://nwl.hee.nhs.uk/ The work is being carried out by a team from Bucks New University. They want to see if you might find it useful and how it could be made any better. When finished, the educational materials will be available.
You will be asked to answer some questions before being shown the App (click here). This will focus on information you may already know about pressure ulcers. You will then either be shown the App or told how to download the App. You may choose how many times you watch the App. When you are ready, They’d like to ask you some more questions. These questions will focus on what you found useful or unhelpful about the information in the App, how you think it could be made better and if there is anything that might stop you from using it.
By taking part, you can help make the information the best that it can be so that more people can gain from it.
All the answers from the questions will be collected but all names of people and places will be removed. All collected information will be kept securely on a password-protected computer. You will not be able to be identified by anyone other than the researcher as your name will not be stored on any documentation. Access to the data will be restricted to the researchers. Some answers may be used in reports of the results but these will be anonymous so nobody will know who said them.
If you would like, a summary of the results can be shared with you when the study is completed. To request this, for any further information and if you have any concerns or worries after the day, please contact:

If you do wish to be involved please complete the evaluation form and send to [email protected] who will then e-mail you the link to the App
