Are you a patient, carer, or member of the public with an interest in health research that means more patients can benefit from new and better treatments? Are you interested in contributing to the oversight and direction of NHS research in the region in a voluntary role?
The Clinical Research Network North West London (CRN NWL) is looking for two lay members to join their Executive Group, the most senior meeting that governs the work of the entire network. The role involves preparing for and attending meetings once every two months and bringing your own unique perspective, informed by life experience, to the work that they do.
As full and recognised members of the board, you will be required to contribute to the discussions which guide the board’s decisions and recommendations.
Is this role right for you?
For this role they require someone who is a frequent use of services offered by NHS Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups within Harrow, Hillingdon, Brent, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, and Westminster, either as a patient or carer.
You will also need to have taken part in one or more clinical research studies in the past three years, or care for someone who has.
This is a voluntary role, where travel expenses will be paid. They may also cover other necessary expenses required to attend the meting such as childcare costs agreed in advance by the CRN NWL.
