A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a local group of patients and GP practice staff who share information and views on services provided at GP practices.
Joining a PPG at your GP practice is an excellent way to get involved in improving healthcare, as well as a way to share useful feedback and influence any changes which are made in the practice. They are beneficial to practices, in gauging the patient perspective on local issues, and to patients by providing a space to communicate concerns as well as gaining from improved communication with staff.
Most importantly PPGs ensure that the patient perspective is understood and represented in the commissioning process of new services!
The 10th edition of the PPG Newsletter is now available! Read up on what’s happening locally for PPGs and how you can get involved in your local PPG. Download here: PPG Newsletter January 2017
